This desk-sized mini calendar was designed and produced to celebrate the Year of the Red Horse in 2026. The project was carried out as a side initiative involving several designers, allowing each to freely explore their own perspectives and visual worlds. It departed from the usual project flow and progressed in a more flexible and open-ended manner.
Starting from a single keyword—the horse, the symbol of the byeong-o year—each designer took charge of their own segment and developed an individual concept graphic for each of the twelve months, based on their personal tastes and interpretations. These distinct expressions come together to create a richly varied experience throughout the year. The physical calendar was designed as a compact and practical desk object, offering a new atmosphere each month and functioning beyond a simple date reference—as an inspiration board–like visual piece.
To extend its usability and reduce waste, each page was designed to be repurposed as a bookmark, incorporating a sense of circular practicality. The final outcome was also used as externally shared creative content, offering a unique 2026 graphic experience infused with the designers’ individual identities.
